About Me

My colleagues and clients would describe me as a genuine, caring, calming, and compassionate clinician that specializes in the treatment of adverse life events and occupational stress injuries. I have over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field, having graduated in 2010 with a Master’s in Forensic Psychology and then in 2014 with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified First Responder Counselor, and a trained Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist. I offer a variety of evidence-based, therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR to help reduce symptoms of occupational stress injuries and reactions, learn coping skills, and build resilience. Each approach is tailored based on a collaborative, strengths-based fit to match the needs, goals, and performance of the individual. I am passionate about working with Responders, their loved ones, all legal professionals (dispatchers, co-responders, crime scene technicians, probation/parole officers, etc), and all survivors of trauma; be it vicarious, indirect, or direct. I have worked alongside corrections officers at the county jail and state prisons earlier in my career. I  provide supervision to clinicians working toward their LPC. In addition, I speak Portuguese and Spanish.
